At "The Gallery" at 219 ELM, we believe in providing a showcase for local artisans and craftsmen, sharing their talent with our visitors.
Award-winning Katie Vickers is the youngest of our up-and-coming artists. She started studying art at a young age, and has continued to grow as a creative talent. Her flair and use of color make her pieces truly unique.
Don Sanders and his wife moved to Lumberton from California’s Central Valley just over 20 years ago. Recently retired from a career as a machinist and engineer, his passion has always been art. Don has dabbled in watercolor, oil painting, acrylics and metal sculpture, most recently smaller wood and repurposed material creations. Always looking for new ideas and methods to express his creativity, he also enjoys woodworking, boat building, art quilting and more. His whimsical and inventive sculptures are a welcome addition to The Gallery at 219 ELM.
Jeffery spent the first decade of his life in Wyoming and the next decade in Southern California before spending time in different parts of Europe before settling in North Carolina. His works have been exhibited at the Hogarth Biannual in New York City, SARUS Art Exhibit in Wilmington, and the Bloom Gallery in WIlmington.
Irina Shin Gellar is a Koeran Russian Amercan artist born in Uzbekistan. Educated in Moscow, she earned her Phd in Asian History from the Academy of Sciences. After imigrating to the United States in 1992, Irina studied Graphic Design at the Parsons School of Design, and Web Design at Pace University. She works primarily with acrylics, watercolors and ink, andhas exhibited several photographs.
